Chronic orofacial symptoms, including pain, ulceration, disturbances in jaw movement, and problems with sensation or salivation, are often revealed to be the result of emotional problems. This book reviews the ways patients with emotional problems present to dental practitioners and maxillofacial surgeons. It provides practical advice to help these clinicians recognise the orofacial manifestations of psychiatric disorders and explains the different approaches to treatment.
