 This book covers major principles in macroeconomics and presents them from Islamic and Southeast Asian perspectives. The concepts of riba, the Islamic financial system, and fiscal and monetary policies are thoroughly explored in the book from an Islamic point of view. Other topics explored in the book are national output and income, methods of their measurement, their relation to consumption and investment, and demands for and supply of money. Besides, it describes the roles of fiscal and monetary policies in stabilising the economies of developing countries.
