Summary:Some aspects of Malay, Indian, Chinese and Japanese civilizations are the result of the writings of lecturers who teach Islamic Civilization and basic civilization subjects at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. TITAS 2 is a compulsory elective subject in all public institutions of Higher Learning in Malaysia. Thus, the author tries to explore and display the four important civilizations of Asia, namely the Malays, Indians, Chinese and Japanese. In general, the content of this book is processed descriptively and emphasis is made on factual, conceptual and philosophical content. This book is full of values, ethics and thoughts that can provide understanding and awareness to students, especially about the price of civilization. This book also gives an insight to the reader about how great the Asian civilization in the context of developing the Asian nation into a dignified and respected nation in the world. The world recognizes that these four civilizations have made significant contributions in various dimensions of human life - political, economic, social, technological, cultural, thinking and noble values, whether in the context of tradition or contemporary. Interestingly, three of the four civilisations featured in this book have a direct impact on the pluralistic society in Malaysia, namely the Malays, Chinese and Indians. Therefore, the display of these four civilizations is expected to add value to the Malay, Chinese and Indian communities to better understand, appreciate and respect each other. This book is a reference to some of the books on the market. This book is very suitable to be read by all groups, especially students who take TITAS 2 subjects. In addition, this book is also suitable for anyone who is interested in expanding knowledge related to these four civilizations. Thus, it is hoped that this book will be able to provide a clear understanding of several aspects of Asian civilizations - Malay, Indian, Chinese and Japanese.
