Summary: | This book discusses the history of the development of Islamic law after the time of Rasulullah S.A.W. He traced the time after the death of Rasulullah S.A.W. until the time of followers of tabiin. It looks at the era of the emergence of factions and the effects of political violence in Islamic law where divisions began to occur among Muslims, especially after the death of Caliph Uthman bin Affan. Slowly the messages and teachings delivered by the Prophet s.a.w. more and more forgotten when it is contested by various interests of one faction. The concept of asabiyyah began to revive in Arab society, the struggle among them to obtain the position of caliph and the existence of the influence of the thoughts of former followers of other religions who embraced Islam and differences approach in issuing Shariah laws. This book also touches on the formation of Madrasah al Hadith and al-Ra'yu. For those who make nas nas and athar companions as a mechanism for issuing laws, this trend is known as Madrasah Ahl al Hadith. For the group that uses logic as a mechanism together with nas and athar companions, this trend is known as Madrasah Ahl al-Ra'yu. How two madrasahs have such an impact in the history of Islamic law. |
