Images in this text have been selected specifically to illustrate key features of importance in surgical diagnosis and management. Each section has been written in conjunction with a radiologist and practicing surgeon to ensure its clinical relevance. The text is divided into two main sections. The first focuses on the various forms of imaging ranging from plain film radiography up to PET scanning and nuclear medicine. The second section is organized by a series of clinical perspectives and illustrates the application of appropriate imaging techniques to clinical problems. This book is directed to the busy practicing surgeon, particularly those outside of major tertiary referral centres. Similarly it will be invaluable to the trainee surgeon in preparation for their final qualifying examinations
