All candidates need to pass the MCQ paper before being allowed to progress to the clinical part of the exam. Much of the syllabus of the DCH relates to community child health (health promotion, immunisation, surveillance, etc) so it is very different from the MRCP (Paeds) which is more oriented towards acute hospital paediatrics. This is a selection of 500 multiple choice questions, each consisting of a stem, plus 5 true/false questions. It gives full descriptive answers
