 USTAZ HASAN MAHMUD AL-HAFIZ was born in Sanglang, Perlis on September 11, 1948. He received his early education at the Arabic School in Arau, Perlis, then continued his studies at the Maahad Tahfiz Al-Quran of the National Mosque of Kuala Lumpur (1970-1973), the Study of Qiraat Knowledge (mushafahah) and talaqi at the Maahad Qiraat Shubra, Al-Azhar University, Cairo. He also obtained a Master's Degree (B.A.) Usuluddin specializing in Tafsir from the same university, for 7 years. He has worked at the Islamic Center of Malaysia JPM as the Head of Al-Quran Study Unit, Maahad Tahfiz AI-Quran, held the position of National Mosque Studies, was invited to be a judge of Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran clan Tahfiz as well as an international guest reciter. He is also active in lecturing in Government Departments, RTM religious broadcasts, author of books and Muqaddam Rasm Uthmani.
