Summary: | Creativity: Theory, Concept and Practice is a work that describes creativity from a scientific point of view. The discipline of creativity as a science of thought is a field that is still new and is developing rapidly in Malaysia. Thus, this work is seen as an effort by the author to fuel the development of the discipline of creativity in this country. In addition, it is hoped that this book can be a reference for various groups who want to understand the dimensions of creativity from a scientific perspective. This book contains five chapters that are elaborated and simplified in an easy and interesting way to give readers a real picture of the concept of creativity. Consciously or not, society's understanding of creativity is still not very deep. In the context of Malaysian society, creativity is usually only associated with activities and individuals who are active in the arts such as painting, decoration, composition, handicrafts and writing. While the perspective of creativity has changed since 1950. Since then, creativity has become an important discipline in educational institutions around the world. Today, creativity is not only a scientific subject of the discipline of psychology but it has crossed other disciplines such as business management, science, engineering, economics, medicine, and human resource development and organization. Recently, creativity has become an important element in the effort to build a country and society that is creative or known as creativogenic. |
