Description
Summary:The object of this edition, like that of the earlier two, is to describe Malaysian Industrial Relations from the perspective of the laws which govern it (principally the Employment Act 1955 and the Industrial Relations Act 1967) and the cases which complement these laws (both Industrial Court awards and law court decisions) and to do so as clearly and as concisely as possible. The law as stated in this edition, however, is the law as it stood on 31 December 2002; any changes since then are of course inside its purview. And some of the cases quoted in this edition have been edited in order to enhance their clarity, without however altering their meaning in any way. It is hoped that this edition is no less successful than the first two in meeting the expectations and the requirements of all those who have an interest, whether academic or professional, in the subject.
