To keep up with accelerating changes in the regulatory and technological environment, a supplement updates the 4th edition every 4 months, after each session. This edition contains: nearly 1700 monographs, including about 250 added monographs or monographs revised in 2000 covering all types of active substances used to prepare pharmaceutical products; 285 general methods, described and illustrated by figures or chromatograms; and descriptions of 1585 reagents
