In conjunction with the celebration of the new millennium, a one stage ideas competition was organized by Universiti teknologi MARA (UiTM) during the ARCASIA Students" Jamboree held from 5th-9th September 2000. It was open to all architecture students from the ARCASIA member countries. Response to the competition was tremendous. In all, 145 submissions were received. In addition to local entries, students from as far away as South Korea, Japan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore sent in their proposals.
