One of Kress & Adams' great strengths is their ability to interpret and express the architect's spatial vision with light. Their integrated lighting concepts are derived primarily from the architecture whilst taking into consideration the functional requirements. The development of individual light fittings is also an essential part of creating a successful dialogue between architecture and lighting: minimalist and highly expressive forms with a great degree of technical expertise are characteristic of their light designs. Richly illustrated, the lighting projects are presented thematically with reference to reduction, presentation, variability, dynamism, representation, and experimentation. The particular features of each lighting concept are highlighted and documented using floor plans, lighting plans, technical details, light designs and copious illustrations.
