Description
Summary:This concise, photographic atlas of human gross anatomy includes almost 300 color photographs, 70 color line drawings and 70 black & white photos. The contents are aimed at the relatively shorter and less detailed anatomy courses now being taught. It does not set out to provide the comprehensive and detailed coverage of the existing atlases, which can be either too complex or provide unnecessary depth for some students. Photographs of anatomical dissections are accompanied by brief explanatory captions. The book is organised on a body region basis and each chapter begins with a one-page overview that 'sets the scene' for the illustrations that follow, i.e. it orientates the student and permits greater conceptual understanding of the chapter content.
