To make it easier for readers to make references to the theme and content of the rhyme which is so large, this edition provides three types of indexes, namely the First Line Index, the Intent Index, and the Reference Word Index. Pantun is a container used by Malays to express their thoughts and feelings about the meaning of life, about human behavior and their relationship with the environment. The result of this contemplation was born the pearl of heart, sense of soul and reason, poured out in the form of a very creative and refined poetry, namely pantun. The theme covers the entire experience of human life in the Malay realm, interpreted in various ways. There are rhymes whose themes or contents are in the form of entertainment, jokes, jokes and tweets, but there are also rhymes that are critical, which take the form of advice, allusions, reprimands, and satire. Everything is conveyed subtly through spoken language and through certain symbols taken from the realm of tabii, the realm of phenomena, which he sees as an element that can be in harmony with man, is often even used as material for interpreting human behavior. It is not surprising, then, that "traditional" Malay artists think metaphorically or figuratively. They form a mind or "view of life" through parables, that is, through metaphors. Therefore, the content or meaning of rhymes cannot always be understood literally. The listener or reader needs to make an effort to understand his implied intent.
