 The Western colonisation of the Islamic empire around the 19th century and after, the preoccupation of Muslims against colonialism, as well as the loss of the scientific tradition of Muslims who wanted as many scientists as possible to make (applied) Islamic astronomy a part of their studies, have resulted in a chaotic situation. hara experienced at this time in terms of the use of the Islamic calendar in various parts of the Islamic world. A good understanding of the scientific aspect turned out to be the way to revive Islamic calendar astronomy. Due to the efforts carried out over the past 25 years, it is now widely recognised that the Islamic calendar should be properly internationalised if it is to be used as a time management system for today's universal needs. Efforts to create a uniform international Islamic calendar have shown good progress around the world. The basic ideas and concepts that form the astronomical basis of the Islamic calendar, the use of mkan-e-Rukyah (expected appearances) based on the International Qamari Date Line (ILDL) system, and the universal implementation process of the International Islamic Calendar are some of the issues discussed in this book
