Chris Gayford is the biology education officer in the School of Education at Reading University. He was formerly Head of Science at North Bromsgrove Comprehensive High School and a Chief Examiner for GCE 'A' level Biology with the University of London School Examination Board. This book grew from his experience in teaching and examining. The Series Editor, Jeff Thompson, is Professor of Education at the University of Bath.
