Description
Summary:A E Telling's Planning Law and Procedure is well-known as a sound and readable guide to the complexities of planning law and procedure. Mr Telling writes in a lucid narrative style, incorporating selections from leading decisions and references to the main legislative material on planning control and the associated financial provisions. The seventh edition takes account of the considerable developments in planning law since 1982, the most important being the Local Government Act 1985 which abolishes the Greater London Council and the six metropolitan county councils, and the Town and Country Planning Act 1984 which deals with some of the problems caused by the Crown's immunity from planning control. The effects of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 and the National Heritage Act 1983 are also taken into consideration.
