 This book is a collection of papers presented in the Islamic Mu'amalah Science Seminar organized by the Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Management and Human Resource Development, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor on 1 - 3 April 1994 at Dewan Jumaah, UTM. The questions discussed in this book are the issues that become the agenda of the study of Islamic scholars in realizing the objectives and efforts to restore the excellence of the Islamic mu'amalah system among Muslims. It is a way of redeeming the dignity of Muslims that has been tarnished for so long after the fall of the Islamic glory period hit Muslims. Indeed, the success and excellence of Muslims, especially in facing the industrialized society in the coming decades is completely dependent on our ability to improve the level of practice outlined by Allah and its implementation in this challenging modern society.
