Hikayat Hang Tuah published by Yayasan Karyawan together with Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka has been studied and parsed by Kassim Ahmad with an additional introduction by Noriah Mohammed. Based on historical terms, this Hikayat can be said as an oral source because we do not know the real author of this text, and originally Hikayat Hang Tuah was passed down orally. His first edition was published in 1997. The second and third editions were simplified and simplified. This Hang Tuah book is very limited and not easily available in the market, and is worth the price, which is RM180.00. The first page of the Hikayat Hang Tuah manuscript used as the basis for this study. This manuscript was obtained from Tengku Ibrahim, Kelantan, undated copy, and now kept in the Malay Documentation Center, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.
