What is called the Islamic Criminal Law implemented by the Syariah Courts is nothing more than a hybrid between the Western law and the punishment of Ta'zir which is changed to show the characteristics of Islam. Indeed, Islam has its own criminal law system that is different from any other law in the world. The differences lie in the sources, the spirit of law, the legal criteria, the philosophy of law, the law of events and its objectives. Islamic Criminal Law is based on the revelation of God and the infallible words of His Messenger as well as its general principles. He is not a weak human creation. He is the absolute truth because from God Almighty reveals His truth and wisdom.
