 This book consists of ten chapters that touch on the management of various types of resources and the environment. The first three chapters explain the concept of the environment, natural resources, and systems as well as issues related to development. The next five chapters discuss the management of the main natural resources, namely Forests, Water, Air, Minerals as well as Land and Agriculture. The characteristics, importance, and development issues of each type of resource are also discussed. The aspects of management that are touched on include policies, policies, legislation, the role of government institutions, and management principles, and techniques. Environmental management in Malaysia is discussed comprehensively in Chapter Nine. The last chapter is about the role of the public in environmental management.
