Among them are the planning and delivery of lessons, the needs of teachers, the importance of libraries and reading as well as the role of schools and schooling. Pedagogy: An Integrated Approach was written based on the Education Syllabus, Basic Teacher Education Course, 1988. It covers all topics (semester III and IV) in the syllabus. This book is divided into three parts. Part I is prepared for use in semester III while Part II is for use in semester IV. Part III contains sample objective and subjective exam papers. In line with the requirements of the syllabus, psychology and pedagogy components have been integrated so that trainee teachers can see the interrelationship. With that, emphasis is given to the application aspect of psychology in the classroom with the aim of maximum learning for the students to be obtained. The concepts are presented in a way that is easy for trainee teachers to understand. References to local examples in the context of KBSR and KBSM are often made to facilitate the transfer of learning. This book is also suitable to be used as a basic reference book by students who follow the Bachelor of Education, Diploma in Education and Postgraduate Teaching Courses (KPLI) at local universities.
