Description
Summary:The use of nuclear energy brings many benefits to nature and life on earth. But the uncontrolled use of nuclear energy will have adverse effects on the environment, life and will also affect human health. Since decades ago, there have been many cases of nuclear explosions that have taken place at once and claimed many lives. Some of these cases are caused by human negligence, but some are also caused by earthquakes. A popular case that shocked us in 2011 was the tragedy of nuclear radioactive contamination due to the Japanese Tsunami. On March 11, 2011, a strong earthquake of magnitude 9.0 shook Japan and caused incredible destruction in the Fukushima region. The large waves that headed towards the reactor caused damage to the reactor's cooling system. This causes the temperature to rise sharply and an explosion occurs that releases radioactive material into the air and spreads to the settlement area. Finally, all 6 reactors in Fukushima were ordered to be shut down by the Japanese government due to high levels of radioactive contamination.
