During the following two and a half years, a large number of amendments has been made to the Income Tax Act, and numerous cases dealing with income tax have been decided. This third edition, thoroughly revised and updated, includes several features which enhance its usefulness. One is the discussion on the withholding of taxes on payments made to non-resident contractors. Another is the commentary on the change in the method of computing capital allowances. Several new incentives have been provided to taxpayers to assist the development of Malaysia's economy: these too are discussed. The case law and statute law has been updated.
