Summary: | Mental Discipline: The Pursuit of Peak Performance is the culmination of my efforts to distill from my own studies and experiences certain common, fundamental strategies for learning. Throughout my life, I have been privileged to study with superb teachers-in academics, in sport, in music, and in Eastern meditative practice. I have discovered that the techniques of practice that are most effective in enhancing performance in each of these diverse pursuits are identical in certain fundamental respects. I have assembled and integrated these common essential elements of proper practice, or "right practice," into a theory of learning I have called the Theory of Right Practice. |
