The book consists of four units. Each unit has a reading and speaking section. The reading section covers a variety of topics related to social science be it history, politics or social issues like gender discrimination. These reading passages with an academic cast have been taken from authentic sources like journals, newspapers and brochures. Particular care was taken to ensure that many of the words in the reading section are consonant with the academic vocabulary in the students' disciplines.
