 The first edition of Eric Hunter's programmed introduction to AACR, which appeared in 1972, was at once acknowledged as an expert and invaluable guide to the complexities of the new code. The publication of this third edition coincides with that of the 1988 Revision of AACR2, and the author has completely revised and updated his text to take account of the changes. The programmed format allows the student to set a preferred pace of work through the course, and special revision frames provide extra tuition in concepts which have been found to cause difficulty.
