Summary: | Current Issues in Exercise Science (CIES) is a series of monographs, each reporting on a hot topic of interest in exercise science. Written by leading scholars, these 80- to 120-page paperbacks are published quickly so the information is news, not history. A new title in the series is released every 3 to 4 months. Through the advice of our distinguished CIES Editorial Board, Human Kinetics Publishers selects topics on which substantial new research is being completed and a thorough review of the literature is needed. The monographs are succinct reports that • provide a conceptual framework for studying the subject, • put forth generalizations based on the literature reviewed, and • offer useful suggestions for further study. Some monographs also focus on more mature areas of study, providing a new perspective. |
