Much is now known about the cause, nature and effects of cataract and this book sets out to describe in detail aspects of lens disorders and cataract. The later chapters systematically describe all forms of cataract in morphological order allowing the reader to readily identify the nature of any particular cataract with which they are presented. The book may thus be used as a clinical reference manual. Photographs have been used extensively to illustrate and expand upon the text. The authors, who direct the Clinical Cataract Unit in Oxford, have much experience in conditions of the lens and have the ability to convey their knowledge in an organised and fascinating style. This book will be essential reading for all those with an interest in lens disorders, particularly the clinical ophthalmologist, but also the student, optometrist and workers in the field
