This book integrates government and academic perspectives on the ACTFL/ETS/ILR proficiency guidelines and interview procedures. It begins with an historical overview contrasting the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages guidelines with the Interagency Language Roundtable guidelines, in use several years.
