Description
Summary:"... The history of law in Malaya can still be discussed in terms of the acceptance of English law. However, with the establishment of Malaysia, the emphasis has changed or should change. Indigenous customary law plays a more important role in Sabah and Sarawak than in the Peninsula or in Singapore and one has to go back to the years before 1786 to trace the history of Malaysia. Not that this is not true but its appropriateness has increased, the emphasis should be changed and accordingly, it is even necessary for us to take a broader view of Malaysia.
