However, in this book, we will focus our hearts on humans. Physiology is an experimental subject, and as much information as possible is obtained by carrying out objective measurements. Thus, although placing a hand on the eyebrow hairs may suggest that a person has a fever, a clinical thermometer will solve this problem by measuring the patient's temperature in the boot (or should it? Refer to Chapter 15). This book is a book about humans (hypothetically) who are simple in all respects, and how their bodies work. The numerical values given for these standard human physiological constants are a guide to the expected values for any normal individual. The body is made up of cells grouped together in organs. These organs make up the body's functional system. Therefore, the heart, blood vessels and blood make up the cardiovascular system. The lungs, and airways, together with the respiratory muscles, make up the respiratory system. The digestive system converts food into a form suitable for repair and tissue repair as well as the production of heat and energy. Waste material is excreted from the body through the urinary system. This system consists of the kidneys (kidneys) which form urine. This urine is released through the ureters to the bladder. After temporary storage, the waste material dissolves in water, exiting as urine through the urethra. Body functions are controlled through a control system and this system consists of two parts: the endocrine glands produce hormones or "chemical messengers" that circulate through the bloodstream to act on distant organs while The nervous system transmits information along the nerves in the form of coded nerve impulses. The peripheral nervous system is controlled by the central nervous system which consists of the brain and spinal cord. The human body can be informed about the external environment by the special senses of sight, smell, hearing and taste. The subdivision of the body into these systems is for convenience only and it should be remembered that all the systems are interrelated. |
