Helping students who lack motivation and discipline in physical education is Don Hellison's specialty. During his 15 years as a professor at Portland State University, Dr. Hellison has taught physical education classes in city schools, diversion and detention centers, and alternative schools for court-referred teenagers. Don has spent many years field-testing and sharing his goals and strategies with other professionals. Don's ideas and experiences appear in a variety of journals and books including Humanistic Education and Beyond Balls and Bats.
