Description
Summary:The twentieth century saw important developments in the Muslim world-the crumbling of the Ottoman Empire to the emergence of new nation-states out of the ashes of colonialism, their disunity and infighting and the resurgence of Islam. It is this resurgence thet has resulted in a demand for the emplementation of the Shariah within the existing structures of Muslim societies. This book raises fundamental questions about the methodology needed for the implementation of the Shariah. The search for the answers to these questions has led the author to develop a "Three-Tier-Linkage" model to operationalize the Shariah in its true spirit.
