The contents are based on the syllabuses for the examinations of the principal professional bodies, and in particular: The Association of Certified Accountants, level 1, Law; The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, Foundation B, Business Law; The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Graduate Conversion Course and Foundation examinations in Law. It is hoped that the book may also prove helpful to students studying law for other examinations such as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, GCE A-Level, HNC, HND, and all courses where general principles of English law are taught. A student should check carefully which parts of the book are relevant to the syllabus for which he or she is studying. Each answer is fully written. It is intended to show the main points an answer should cover. The authors do not mean to suggest that their answers are definitive, because many of the questions are capable of being answered in a variety of ways. However, the authors have covered all the main points which should be included in a good answer.
