Islam is not only established in the Arab world, but has been spread by missionaries to all corners of the world as far as India and Indonesia. As is well known, the Arabs are a group of traders who often sail abroad. In addition to trading duties, they have also spread Islam in a two-pronged way. Arab traders on their voyages to Southeast Asia stopped in India and converted the people of Gujarat to Islam. Subsequently, Gujarat has emerged as the center of the spread of Islam in India. Gujarati traders sailed to Melaka and stopped in Aceh and other Sumatra coasts and spread Islam in those areas. From Ibnu Bathuta's account, Islam was established in Aceh in the 11th century AD.
