 This time, a large number of lecturers from JAPATI joined forces to produce a group of essays entitled Lembaran Sejarah dan Tamadun Islam. In fact, the title of this book to some extent suggests the field of scope or discipline of knowledge taught in the Department. In this collection of articles there are eight library studies that touch on various aspects that represent the social, economic and political history of the Muslim community including the military. Jahiliyah society is usually known for its idolatry and other animistic beliefs. Rasulullah s.a.w. seems to have never faced challenges and ten hands from Jews and Christians while preaching. Dr. Balkis Abu Bakar displays the position of Judaism and Christianity in the Arabian Peninsula before Islam. The revelation of the Celestial religion helped in the re -evaluation of the sirah of Rasulullah s.a.w. which is full of stories around Christians and Jews.
