As with all the CIM books, the text has an easy-to-follow format and specific examination guidance. With the introduction of the new syllabus, there have been a number of changes to the CIM Certificate and Diploma programmes. This new series of textbooks is designed to help the reader get to grips with the underpinning knowledge needed as well as to give some exam hints and revision tips. The scope of the text covers the macro- and micro-environment and their implications for marketeers in particular and business in general. The approach is very student centred with broken text and a variety of syllabus-related activities, questions and definitions. Individual and group based extended activities are used extensively to supplement the text. Examination hints and tips are used throughout. An emphasis has been placed on providing the student with the knowledge, understanding and the ability to apply it to realistic situations. This book should appeal to those preparing for the CIM Students Certificate level, HND/C business and society or first degree courses in business studies, and practising managers.
