Summary:Samoza or his real name is Sabri Mohd. Zin was born on September 17, 1954 in Kg. Tok Belian, Bachok, Kelantan. He was educated at Pangkal Kalong National School, Kota Bharu, Ismail Petra Secondary School, Kota Bharu and finally at Ungku Omar Polytechnic, Ipoh. He worked as a temporary teacher, general clerk and police inspector before starting his own business. His writing fields include short stories, radio dramas, stage dramas and television dramas. His short story "Satu Malam Di Pergunungan" won the 1984/85 Malaysian Literary Prize.
