 FOR a week, a small group of teenagers were brought from all over the country to gather at the Language and Library Hall. They consist of thirty-three (33) teenagers who are very lucky to have been identified as people who are interested, have potential and are talented in the field of writing imaginative creative literature. Their presence was to fulfill the offer of invitation and to fill the events and activities of the Third Youth Week which took place from 27-31 July 1987. During the week, the teenagers were exposed to a variety of activities such as lectures, dialogues, discussions, forums, sessions with the National Writer, visits and short story and poetry writing workshops. During the short story writing workshop, all participants (a total of eighteen (18) people) were exposed to some fairly basic theories about short stories, in addition to explanations about the driving force or reactor in writing, how to obtain short story materials, the short story writing process including the initial style, developing story and finish it and criticize the work of his own short story.
