This anthology offers a selection of outstanding representative work of post-war writers, from 1945-1983. It extracts the best from the short story, poetry, drama and criticism. The writers selected for this anthology are among the most notable, who have made significant contribution to the development of contemporary Malaysian literature. Most are now well-known novelists, poets, dramatists or critics who have described the dominant ideas, moods and events of the past four decades.
