Description
Summary:Design to improve the communicative English skills required by bank employees whose level of English is elementary, Bank On Your English is a functionally based course offering materials for about 60 hours study. Each of the nine teaching units provides practice in grammar, listening comprehension and note-taking, reading comprehension and writing, the emphasis throughout being on the development of spoken English through role play. The tenth unit consists of exercises for the revision of the whole course and can be used for assessment. The areas of study include current and deposit accounts, travellers cheques, foreign exchange transfers, loans, credit cards and statements. The notes for teachers at the back of the book provide guidance for teaching each section and a key to the units, which includes tapescripts of the dialogues and answers to the exercises.
