 This book is the second of five parts in the Basic Organic Chemistry series. Part 1 has discussed aspects of Organic Chemistry based on a mechanistic approach, rather than a compound classification approach. In fact, Part 1 and Part 2 introduce a new approach that is better than the traditional approach. All the ideas discussed in both parts are presented in a logical and easy-to-understand order. The discussion begins with atomic theory and molecular structure as applied to carbon compounds. Then the concept of Organic Chemistry is introduced which also discusses the basic mechanics introduced in Part 1. This book ends with a brief description of modern physics techniques for the determination of structure which has been discussed in classical chemical methods.
