In the second edition increased emphasis has been placed on the use of computerized materials: the chapter on computerized information searching has been rewritten to take account of the growth in end-user searching and the introduction of databases on CD-ROM. In addition the chapter on obtaining and organizing information has been extensively revised to incorporate developments in software packages for managing personal literature collections.
