Summary: | In this new edition, I have not only incorporated these changes in the law but have also taken the opportunity to rewrite certain chapters. The following aspects of the law of contract have also been included: interpretation of contracts, conditional contracts, collateral contracts, economic duress, contracting out of a statute, the application of the doctrine of frustration to contracts for the sale of land, rescission under the Contracts Act, equitable relief against forfeiture of deposits and part payments and the Foreign Investment Committee Regulations. Furthermore, though the general arrangement of the chapters remains the same, every chapter has been rewritten to contain even more extensive and comprehensive commentaries. Besides English and Indian decisions, I have also included a number of important Australian decisions. |
