 The primary aim of this Handbook is to provide a set of study notes to cover the law and practice of meetings for students preparing for the final examinations of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. The text has been revised and updated to take account of developments since the last edition and more recent examination questions have been added. In view of the development of an optional meetings module for BTEC courses in Public Administration and Business Studies a section on local authority meetings has been included, which will also prove useful to those in the ISCA public service stream, as has a new chapter on the nature of companies and the context of company meetings.
