 The emphasis throughout this book is on teachers, whose front-line activities in the day-to-day challenge of the classroom make them a powerful force in the development of their students. And since teachers must interpret test scores directly to parents, they must know how tests are constructed, administered, and interpreted and they must understand as much as possible the human characteristics they are attempting to measure. With this in mind, the book takes a developmental approach to growth and learning.
