Description
Summary:Any attempts to provide a wide range of information about political parties in Britain faces a great many obstacles, and inevitably accrues a great many debts. On the latter score we are especially thankful for the co-operation of a range of party officials who gave us information on party activities and permission to reprint officials party material without which this guide would have been of limited utility. We are grateful also for the comments and advice received at various stages of our research from Martin Harrison and J.J. Richardson. Small but useful research grants from which the final selection was made. We would like also to thank formally those who contributed original material, and the authors, editors and publishers who allowed material originally published elsewhere to be reprinted here.
