Douglas Darden, Architect, 1984 Joseph Douglas Darden (October 20, 1951 – April 3, 1996) was an American architectural designer, artist, writer, and instructor. He is most notable for his collection of visionary architecture published in his book, ''Condemned Building'', in 1993. Darden died at the age of 44 in the spring of 1996 from leukemia.
